Book Review: The Art of Reading Minds by Henrik Fexeus

Book Review: The Art of Reading Minds by Henrik Fexeus This book explores non-verbal communication, focusing on how to understand what people are thinking without their words. Henrik Fexeus explains how body language, tone, gestures, and even slight changes in breathing or posture can reveal a person’s thoughts and feelings. It’s not about magic or reading minds; it is about observing and interpreting real human signals. The book combines psychology, behavioral science, and practical tips that anyone can use in daily interactions. The main theme is empathy, awareness, and human connection. There are no “characters” in the usual sense, but Henrik acts as your engaging and witty guide through the complexities of human behavior. The layout is clear and appealing; each chapter presents new techniques and real-world examples. Its practicality makes it exciting, like a social cheat sheet. It balances scientific insights with humor, making it enjoyable rather than a dull textbook. This ...

VIT Life: Chaos, Coffee, and Everything in Between

Surviving and Thriving at VIT: My Daily Adventure Stepping into VIT is like stepping into a mini-city where chaos and creativity collide. The campus is huge, the buildings are impressive, but the real action is everywhere else—in the hostels, the mess lines, and even the random lawns where people just chill. Life here isn’t just about lectures or assignments; it’s about those 2 AM Maggi runs, cricket matches that last hours, and jam sessions that somehow turn into dance-offs. You meet people from all over India (and beyond!), each bringing their own quirks and stories. Hostel life? Imagine living in a place where alarms, group projects, and endless memes coexist. Tech fests and cultural nights are a whole vibe—think creativity on steroids, with chaos as the sidekick. Sure, academics are tough, but the real lessons happen outside the classroom—through late-night talks, failed experiments, and friendships that survive everything. By the end of your time here, VIT isn’t just a college—i...

Where Culture Lives: An Insightful Visit to DakshinaChitra During our Industrial Visit to DakshinaChitra, I had an incredibly rewarding experience discovering the cultural and architectural h eritage of South India. The location resembled strolling through an interactive museum where each corner had a narrative to share. I took pictures of the beautifully restored traditional homes from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and Andhra Pradesh. Every home displayed distinct architectural designs, timber sculptures, cultural tools, and items that represented the way of life in that specific area. I also took photos of craftsmen engaged in pottery, weaving, and traditional crafts, providing an authentic view of how ancient techniques are maintained and utilized even now. One specific aspect that made a significant impact on me was the Chettinad residence in Tamil Nadu. The elaborate wooden doors, Athangudi tiles, and the expansive central courtyard captivated me. From this, I discovered th...

In my perspective, a portfolio is a showcase of one's professional and personal development and achievements or goals . For most of the students, it is more than just a collection of work; it is a work that displays skills, growth, and potential. A well-maintained portfolio is a testament to an individual's eagerness to succeed, dedication, and expertise. ABOUT ME : I’ve always loved solving problems in simple, efficient ways, which pulled me into coding. Growing up on sci-fi made me fascinated with AI, and now I’m driven to explor...
